In the prestigious Bayhouse project in Rotterdam, I was tasked with designing a luxurious apartment that harmonizes urban sophistication with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The goal was to create a space that not only reflects elegance but also offers comfort, all while showcasing stunning views of the city and the evolving Rijnhaven area.
Using natural materials like wood, marble, and suede, I crafted an interior that exudes understated luxury. The walls and ceilings were finished in the same textured color, creating a cohesive and serene environment. Frameless doors were integrated into the walls to maintain clean, uninterrupted lines.
The bedroom was designed to maximize openness and tranquility, positioned to capture the best views of the city. Custom cabinetry in both the bedroom and bathroom meets the client’s specific needs, providing ample storage and a sleek look.
At the heart of the apartment is a light-colored kitchen island that doubles as a workspace and social hub, blending seamlessly into the living area. This creates a unified, inviting space with panoramic views of Rotterdam as the perfect backdrop.
The result is a sophisticated urban sanctuary that celebrates modern design and the dynamic energy of Rotterdam while offering a peaceful retreat.
